Done a few in the last couple of years, quite often near railway stations. All of them ok for the price, small issues mentioned
Woking Travelodge (01/2025) - just over £200 for 4 nights, booked 1 month before, over the road from the station (I didn't get a station view though). Sunday dinner at The Inn at Maybury Hill was good.
Newcastle Central Travelodge (03/2025) - £125 for 4 nights, booked 6 days in advance, but it's a bit of a walk from the station and not that much in the area next to it.
Whitchurch (Cardiff) Travelodge (06/2025) - £240 for 4 nights with 3 months notice, short walk to Whitchurch station and decent bus service into Cardiff, Kegbelly a decent pub nearby.
Liverpool Central Travelodge (07/2025, 05/2026) - £140 for 3 nights, similar for 4 this year, both on fairly short notice. Not too far from the station, and a couple of decent pubs (Dead Crafty, Ship and Mitre) nearby.
Hammersmith Shepherd's Bush Premier Inn (01/2026) - £240 for 4 nights with 4 months notice. Over the road from the underground, had a room overlooking Shepherds Bush road but it wasn't noisy. The Queens Head and Havelock tavern nearby were pubs of choice.
Romford The Quadrant Travelodge (03/2026) - £200 for 4 nights on 6 weeks notice. There was a Greggs next door which didn't involve going into The Quadrant, and it was a short walk to the station, luckily (sorry if you're from Romford).
Rochester Travelodge (07/2026) - £320 for 4 nights with 4 months notice, so a bit pricey, but next to the station and the town itself was nice and had a few decent pubs (Coopers, Wolfe and Castle, the Crown, and Three Sheets)
