I've been very lazy and not bothered getting an Oyster since I moved out of London. I have a Disabled Railcard which I can add to it - where, in practice, can I do this now? Ideally, as close to Euston as possible.
I did it at Brixton last week, ask a member of staff hovering around the ticket machines or gateline. They tap their card, enter a PIN, you tap your card, they add the entitlement needing the last 9 digits of your railcard number and expiry, done.
Find a London Underground station, or go to one of the TfL information centres like the one at Victoria. Only TfL staff can do this, you can’t do it at an Oyster shop like a newsagents. Can’t do it at stations like Richmond, Streatham, etc… has to have TfL staff. Some exceptions may apply but it works as a general rule.
You can theoretically add both at the same time, given the Disabled Persons Railcard has a separate entry given it can be used in the AM peak.Would I be correct in thinking only one railcard can be added to an Oyster card at a time? I have a 16-25 railcard added to mine and am eligible for a disabled railcard, which would be better for peak travel.
How about Euston? Any underground station can do it, you just need to find a member of staff close to the POMs.Ideally, as close to Euston as possible.
I'm pretty sure it's only one, and there would be no benefit in having a 16-25 Railcard on Oyster as well as a Disabled Railcard.Would I be correct in thinking only one railcard can be added to an Oyster card at a time? Multiple Railcards or discount types can be added, but staff may be reluctant to add more than one. Changing an existing discount type to reflect a new Railcard doesn't seem too difficult or controversial for them though.I'm pretty sure it's only one, and there would be no benefit in having a 16-25 Railcard on Oyster as well as a Disabled Railcard.
Roughly opposite platform 7, between the exits to the bus station on the South Eastern side. Not sure on opening hours.Where is the Tfl Information centre at Victoria? Is it open on Sundays? Going down to Oxted this Sunday coming. Need to get mine added but can't quite picture where centre located.
Thank youRoughly opposite platform 7, between the exits to the bus station on the South Eastern side. Not sure on opening hours.
Thank you for the informationThank you
Yes, because it will have am expiry date set.Do you have to re-register your Disabled Railcard on to your Oyster when you renew your railcard?
Yes, you can see your transactions and journeys through the TfLGo app and the TfL website, with slightly more detail available on the website. And is there a way of seeing in your Oyster account online if you have a railcard assigned to it?
Is this correct? TfL website seems to suggest otherwise, and I am 80% confident I've had mine added at the newsagent which is also an Oyster ticket shop at Enfield Town station.I did it at Brixton last week, ask a member of staff hovering around the ticket machines or gateline. They tap their card, enter a PIN, you tap your card, they add the entitlement needing the last 9 digits of your railcard number and expiry, done.

Register your Oyster card online if you're adding a discount to it and want to apply for refunds or replacements.
Then, ask a staff member to add your Railcard discount to your Oyster card at:
You'll need to show your National Railcard.
- Tube, some London Overground and some Elizabeth line stations
- Oyster Ticket Stops
I challenge you to find one, I went around several before going to a LU stationIs this correct? TfL website seems to suggest otherwise, and I am 80% confident I've had mine added at the newsagent which is also an Oyster ticket shop at Enfield Town station.
Nope and 4 year Santander Railcards have a similar issue where you can't record an accurate expiry date at all because TfL's systems haven't been programmed with them in mind!Have they fixed the problem where 3-year railcards were issued with validity of 3 ys 7 days (presumably to allow for time in the post) but TfL machines wouldn't register anything with expiry more than 3 yrs 0 days ahead?
I'm not convinced that TfL will regard it as a problem that needs fixing.Have they fixed the problem where 3-year railcards were issued with validity of 3 ys 7 days (presumably to allow for time in the post) but TfL machines wouldn't register anything with expiry more than 3 yrs 0 days ahead?
As I said - pretty sure Enfield Town newsagents did it for me, and reading the follow up replies triggered a memory that they did definitely ask me how much I was adding on to my card.I challenge you to find one, I went around several before going to a LU station
