Unable to buy a ticket from Brighton or Preston Park to York

National rail and LNER sites are both refusing to give me any tickets from Brighton to York tomorrow. What is causing this?? Is it a temporary glitch or will I need to buy two separate tickets?

I’ve tried the Thameslnk website and it offers fares either side of the two trains you’re showing, so the problem is likely to be a lack of reservations on the particular LNER trains.

I think everything powered by SilverRail is (incorrectly?) showing no availability. None of LNER, GWR, or NationalRail.co.uk (all powered by SilverRail IPTIS journey planner) show any availability.

On the other hand Trainline, Railsmartr, Raileasy all show an Anytime Single for £187.40.

If you can leave Preston Park at 15:02 the forum ticketing site offers the following for £84.05...

15:02 Preston Park - Three Bridges 15:30 (Southern)
15:43 Three Bridges - Peterborough 18:08 (Thameslink)
18:21 Peterborough - York 19:32 (LNER)

Or alternatively for £87.70...

15:38 Preston Park - Brighton 15:43 (Thameslink)
16:09 Brighton - Gatwick Airport 16:39 (Gatwick Express)
16:49 Gatwick Airport - Stevenage 18:13 (Thameslink)
18:34 Stevenage - Peterborough 19:21 (Great Northern)
19:35 Peterborough - York 20:52 (LNER)

Or £76.78...

15:56 Preston Park - Haywards Heath 16:12 (Southern)
16:47 Haywards Heath - Victoria 17:36 (Southern)
19:04 Kings Cross - Doncaster 20:47 (Hull Trains)
21:42 Doncaster - York 22:02 (LNER)

Thameslink now shows the Anytime return, which it was not doing earlier. LNER doesn't even acknowledge the existence of any trains!

I reported this to LNER and its still not fixed a week later with no trains shown apart from the odd random one on certain dates.

Insane that people will be told no tickets are available or will end up buying two tickets for their journey and paying more than they need to. Surely it should not be this difficult to fix booking engine issues - Brighton to York is not that complex a journey.
