Douglas Horse Tram to be restored to full length

Third time they've had the funding now. The useless Department of Infrastructure- the ones who gave us the £100m ferry terminal in Liverpool- used it to cover over-expenditure on other parts of the Prom refurbishment twice before.

Hopefully third time lucky. The segregated path is there already, it's just currently a weed-infested mess.

You'll then be able to get a tram from the ferry port along to your hotel on the front.

Will the segregated path be single or double track? If single, will that limit the service frequency to something less than the current “summer peak” of every 15 mins?

Yes, for 18 days this year when timetable P is operational - the precise dates are available here (link to the Horse Tramway timetable on the IOM Bus And Rail official site). It's not all day, only in two shortish periods when the 15-minute interval services are in operation, but when it does happen you can take pictures like the attached! This one is my own, taken by the Villa Marina terminus on 31 August from inside car 36 and featuring car 18 plus horses Bobby (left) and Nelson (right).
