Should LNER/GBR name a train after Kevin Keegan?

Kevin Keegan sadly passed away today, after a battle with cancer.

As a native of Doncaster, and being instrinsically linked to Newcastle, and being a former England player and manager, the only English man to be named European footballer of the year twice, it seems only fitting.

Perhaps whenever the new GBR livery is rolled out on LNER, they can honour this great man with something that links Doncaster and Newcastle together, an East Coast Main Line train?

There is precedent, with an East Coast Class 91 having been named after Sir Bobby Robson.

I understand the emotion and the logic, but the problem is that LNER also serve Leeds :D ;)

I suppose if LNER were on the ball they'd be proposing it pretty sharpish, but there's no harm in suggesting it to them - preferably an 800/801 set, not a soon-to-be-retired 91.

But if not, well, Leeds is off the main spine, so King Kev never need go there.

Far too soon in my opinion. While people are talking about him now because he has died I don't think people will be talking about him as much in 10-15 years time.
