Surely that can't be the longest stretch of track without stations as the section between Lockerbie and Kirknewton is further.
I'm not sure that "winner" is the right term to use in this context, but it seems a bit speculative to guess what Lumo would actually do if a member of staff was overcarrried on that train.
Do they even provide any platform staff at King’s Cross? I’ve never used them so no idea. Would it actually be a member of LNER staff they overcarry

The same could also apply in the reverse direction - the 06:05 from Newcastle is non-stop (well it does have a booked wait at Darlington - but not in a platform).
