Updated July 2026 to reflect 350s to Northern, and updated numbers of introduced units.

Let it not be said that I am omniscient, I am rarely down south of the Thames and I've been busy with consultation work for things going on north of the border. I can only keep track and update the list when people let me know things have changed, so people sending updates is very helpful.
Thank you again for all of your work towards keeping the master list up to date, just one more thing for the SWR section:

SWR's 158/159 fleet undergoing refurb program - updates on the fleet are posted in this thread: https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/swr-diesel-fleet-refurbishment.302876/

The number of 197s has been updated, but I'm not going to be keeping track of the various refurbishments unfortunately; there's just too many sporadic changes happening to reasonably keep track of. I entered the 175s being cycled through Wolverton as an exception, as that's an integral part of the introduction, but I think mid-life refurbishments are too specific given that the overall fleet is staying the same.

Yeah that's totally understandable, thank you for clarifying

Wales (sometimes in England), thanks for replying!
Has the number 808 been officially confirmed anywhere?
I can't see anywhere it has been said officially, but a very trustworthy source has said it on the relevant thread:
Clarence Yard said:
808 is correct (the class number has now been issued) but tilt is not. They will (currently) be BEMU’s.
Ross Martin on LinkedIn
Senior Project Engineer at Hitachi Rail, currently contributing to the Class 808… (see more)
With the 820s being the Grand Central units, through process of elimination the 808s must be the extra Lumo / Hull Trains units.
