Leighton Buzzard platform 1 on the fast line is accessible from the lift via always partially open gate.
The western entrance to the station is via the other footbridge(no lift), there are steps and a openable gate to access platform 1.
This means that there is no disabled access to the western entrance but those with some limited disability can use the lifts then walk along the fast platform 1 to the footbridge, through the gate and up and down two short stairs to access the western entrance.
I suppose the steps (which could easily be removed) are their to discourage passengers and local residents from using platform 1.
The demolished footbridge has got something to do with it.
