Dundee in August - bus dayrider or suchlike?

We have been to Dundee before for a few hours and visited RRS Discovery and also the Verdant Works but would like to see some other places, including the view from Law Hill, this time.

I can see that we can buy train tickets for the very short ride to Broughty ferry to go and see the castle and we like wandering around a place to see what we find but I'm wondering if we do feel the need to hop on a bus, eg to get to or from Law Hill, whether we would be better to buy a day ticket of some kind rather than pay on each bus (our English ITSO bus pass doesn't count in Scotland of course).

Any advice very welcome - and thanks.

If you'll make more than a single journey, the £5 adult DaySaver ticket looks best, unless there are three, four or five of you, who could use the £13.65 GroupSaver.
Obviously worth checking that your intended routes are covered!
