Shipley. Sort of.
Indeed. But the OP gave the example of Clapham Junction, where the Southern and SWR Main tracks converge, pass through the station, and diverge again, without a crossover or a connection between them. That's a far less common situation, indeed I can't think of another example unless there's a heritage or narrow gauge line with an intermediate station adjacent to an NR station.Bit of a strange thread. There must be hundreds of stations that fit this extremely loose set of criteria.
But both those stations only have a junction at one end....so OT for this thread!Port Glasgow - one line to Gourock, the other to Wemyss Bay.
The two lines are seperated by so close, you could in theory have platforms at Bogston to serve the Wemyss Bay line.
In fact the entry to the station is a road that goes under that branch.
Both ScotRail though.
I'd also add Georgemas Junction!

Yes, I'd say so. Trains from Norwich come in from the Grantham line and go out to Liverpool via the Sheffield route.Nottingham?
Hence my question about whether "lines" refers to tracks or trainsYes, I'd say so. Trains from Norwich come in from the Grantham line and go out to Liverpool via the Sheffield route.
Trains from Lincoln come in from the Newark line and go out to Matlock via the line to Derby.
The routes only have Nottingham in common and they converge and split again there just a little way outside the station.
I think that's the sort of thing the OP was getting at, unless the two routes must not "cross over"
...or lines!Hence my question about whether "lines" refers to tracks or trains
Ashford International also.Salisbury, Westbury, Bristol Temple Meads. London Bridge has, I think, three lines in one direction and four in the other.
....and before the former LD&ECR line to Tuxford closedLincoln (Central) since the mid-80s when the Newark line was rerouted into West Holmes then Central station
Err....I think you mean the two Eastern branches!Gainsorough is an odd one because there is no station on the common section, but oone on each of the two western branches
Earls Court (Districr) was originally like thatWhen I read it, I took it to mean two different routes/set of tracks that never meet or cross over in the station.
So if you come in on Route A you stop at the Route A dedicated platform and then exit the station still on Route A.
Route B enters the station on a different platform and exits the station still on Route B.
There is no way to cross from one to the other. A passenger would have to change trains there and change platforms to do so.
Were going to mention Brighouse. In terms of having four different adjacent stations, Brighouse?
Until Elland reopens, of course.
Possibly, as the Eastbourne avoider and the line to Hailsham have both since shut. Christ's Hospital would have been another one but the Adur Valley Line (via both Cranleigh and Southwater) having long been shut.Would Polegate have qualified once upon a time?
WBQ qualifies on this basis with Earlestown, Wigan NW, Crewe (Acton Bridge but none of the trains stop there) and Runcorn East. Were going to mention Brighouse.
Huddersfield could count as Deighton is currently closed. Sowerby Bridge*, Halifax and Mirfield - possibly. Wakefield Westgate and Kirkgate, interesting to see if these will count. Sheffield (but then you've also got Meadowhall). York?
Westbury has already been mentioned, Chippenham could have been counted had the line to Calne not closed as the line to Melksham could then also be taken into consideration. Yeovil Pen Mill is another contender.
* Sowerby Bridge could count historically as the line use to also branch off to Ripponden and Rishworth (it was suppose to connect at Littleborough giving the Ryburn Valley a through route to the Calder Valley Line in similar stance to the Oldham Loop Line)

Newton Abbot is another one that historically would have counted because of the line to Heathfield and onwards to Exeter via the Teign Valley Line.
