Trying to find a split of period returns between Wakefield and Peterborough. Needless to say LNER's fares abomination is stinking up the mainline, so I tried entering via Nottingham.

For some reason entering via Nottingham comes up with a message saying that "all tickets are sold out".

I'm not sure how this can be the case, given that there aren't any all reservation services on the route.

I'd very much like to get some off-peak returns for the route if possible.

For future reference, when seeking advice, please state when are you travelling. A search link would be useful.

In any case, there are no "open returns" from Wakefield to Peterborough, so you won't get a result.

You could get an Off Peak Return (SVR) from Burnley to Peterborough, or from Greenfield to Peterborough; both are valid to start short at Wakefield.

@yorkie has got it but if you're specifically searching for Open Returns, we won't be able to offer splits. Put a likely return date in and you'll be able to potentially get a set of splits that are valid flexibly, though the suggestions above are probably the way to go anyway.

When are you travelling? Can you also provide the search link?

Hi Yorkie, it's:

I want to do a weekend out Friday coming back Sunday off peak and not be tied down to particular trains.

Cheers.

Then choose Return (not Open return) and Filters -> Flexible tickets only.
