Manchester Wayfarer information

I was hoping to get one of these tomorrow, having not had one before, and found the Bee Network page about the ticket at https://tfgm.com/tickets-and-passes/wayfarer-adult
However, the list of rail stops does not match the map, so I tried looking on the National Rail site and brfares.com and can't find any mention of the ticket.

Does it still exist?
Is there anywhere else that provides information about it?
Where would you recommend buying if starting at Wilmslow or Handforth?

It should, but the list of stations on the TfGM Bee site didn't include Handforth or Wilmslow so I was hoping to find a list on an official site.

And it's disappeared from the National Rail site: https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ticket-types/promotions/?promotionType=ranger-rover&operator=nt
(though that has the Northern Explorer twice).

I'm likely to be starting at Handforth. However I may be starting earlier enough that I can walk to my destination in Wilmslow and back to the station for one of the first 3 trains.

Handforth is on the list. But several other rail stations that should be included, all seem to be missing. Including Godley, Greenfield, Hope (Derbyshire), Humphrey Park, Holmes Chapel and Woodley. No doubt others too. Also, where exactly is 'Timperley (Rail)'?

Sorry, most recently bought a GM Wayfarer from a Co-op store (= PayPoint outlet). On a Northern TVM, they'll probably be found somewhere in the separate Rovers/Rangers section of the TVM.

It should be in the Rovers and Rangers menu on Northern TVMs.

The list on the website is a load of crap, there are loads of stations missing but apparently you can use the ticket from Shaw and Crompton (Rail) on trains. Maybe if you're Marty McFly?

The map is right. Hope you enjoy your day out, it really is a good value ticket.

I don’t know about anyone else but whenever I used the Wayfarer I would always have problems on the buses, especially since QR codes on tickets were introduced

From previous discussions it would seem that the GM Wayfarer sold through PayPoint outlets are more likely to be accepted on buses without an argument than rail ticket issued ones.

I walked from Handforth to Wilmslow early this morning, spent a bit longer than planned there, then got the ticket from a TVM there. Very easy - it's years since I've used a TVM for anything other than TOD.
First stop was Handforth, where there was an open ticket office, then back to Wilmslow and to Manchester. 3 trips on the tram so far.

I don't use the ticket very often and when I do I am usually very much on the beaten track: the bus over the Cat and Fiddle, TransPeak, the Hope Valley. But I've not had issues using tickets issued on railway orange card on the buses.
