I do wonder, by extension to the above, if that means the Avanti TVMs at Crewe will sell it.
Best way to find out is to go and have a look I suppose, I can’t imagine it will be much longer until I can resist the itchy feet!
On Saturday i decided to give the new northern explorer ticket a go and tried to get as many services in as possible and decided to try and vlog it. I managed ten services and got from East Yorkshire to Chester, Liverpool, Wigan, Bolton, Blackburn, Leeds and Doncaster. Not bad for 13 hours of travel.

Sorry to hear of your ticketing issues (that might get others to watch!) but you definitely did well.Maybe next time investigate still getting your money’s worth but trying more Lancashire and Cumbria? Still a long day out but I have a sneaky feeling you’d enjoy that more than going all the way to the extreme west end of the Northern network
