Hello, I have a DMI coming up for thameslink soon and I have tried searching for more info regarding shift start times and shift patterns etc and what life is generally like at thameslink, if anyone who works for thameslink could give me some insight that would be appreciated.

Its generally quite intense work, being new you wont know any different but you'll spend a long time in the chair driving.
Shifts at TL are fixed so you have Monday tuesday rest day then wedneday Thursday the next week and then Friday Saturday the following week and that combined with the Monday Tuesday makes up your long weekend every 3rd week.
What depot are you looking at, someone might be able to be more specific for you?
You generally alternate between earlies and lates/nights but each depot will have slightly different ways of doing nights.
Some do 7 nights in a row, some split it.
Sundays are outside the working week and generally you'll be rostered 1 in 3 but you can opt out with 7 days notice if I remember correctly.
Good salary and just agreed a decent payrise but you'll definitely work for it.
