Northern - Durham Coast route

Today, tomorrow and for a few weekends.

Northern are running a replacement coach on the route between Newcastle & Horden.

This morning I arrived at 06.31 for the 06.40 departure towards Horden from Newcastle.

The coach was pulling away towards the next stop.

The representative from arriva called control to get the bus to come back to Newcastle as it was 9minutes early departing.

The bus did return but chose to return to the wrong pickup point(Neville St) rather than the short stay/Sainsburys car park.

I was told I HAD to cross over to neville St to pick up the bus as the driver refused to come back in to the car park as it states for the pick up point.

Further to the above there was a member of staff from Northern present on the bus who then screamed at me to cross over and get on if I wished to travel.

I have attempted to complain to Northern due to a 9minute early departure aswell as the rude member of staff.

I have been told by Northern i won't get a response under GDPR.

I work in a hotel with strict GDPR compliance so I'm unsure on how they can try and imply the above.

Any suggestions or advice to get this resolved please?

They should take your complaint, but it depends what you asked for. If you said something like "I want to know how the coach driver and staff member is being dealt with" then you are not entitled to that information

If you complain you will get an acknowledgment and in all likelihood an apology and some sort of bland statement about improving things. You won’t get any information about what has been said to the driver concerned
