Ah my bad, they usually operate for Leeds Fest though so wouldn't be surprising if they're also operating for Roundhay Festival.
The Leeds Festival is in school holidays.
York Pullman are fully committed on a weekday with school and college services.

College Services are reduced, York College is now on school holidays until September as is Askham Bryan College.

Regardless of any of that, this new Roundhay Festival is much smaller, and held within civilisation, so the shuttle bus won’t be anywhere near as big an operation

The Leeds festival is held in the middle of nowhere and pretty much needs every spare bus with a valid MOT, not just York Pullman

First are advertising a normal service in York from tomorrow, we'll, quantity wise at least, there will however be no bus stops available outside the station which should add to the interest

Looks like quite a few fleet movements as the Metrodeckers remain out of service today. As mentioned upthread, 37550 has transferred South from Aberdeen to York.
From Leeds to York:
Yutong E10s 68803 & 68807, Wrightbus Kite Electroliners 63570 & 63572
From Bradford to Leeds:
Ultroliner 35280
From Halifax to Leeds:
B7RLE 69557
From Huddersfield to Leeds:
Streetlite DF 63437 - I believe the only Streetlite in the Leeds fleet currently.
Repainted to Ultraviolet:
B9TL 37701

Can’t believe they sent a single vehicle all the way from Aberdeen, unless it’s a permanent transfer and we just don’t know it yet

It would be weird to have a diesel in York for passenger service as the few diesels left at James Street (all are Driver Trainers) have to be fueled off site.

With First now owning York Pullman, which is very much still a diesel operation and has a depot only a few miles from York, it's not unreasonable as a short term emergency measure. I'm sure other cities would be pretty miffed if their newest and nicest buses were all shipped off to York to cover for the problem.

For a short term loan I think its no issue, but for a permanent loan it starts to become more of an inconvenience.

I’m guessing it’s because they had spare vehicles available due to Universities and Schools being off for the summer - Scotland end of school year finishes up to 3 weeks earlier than England.

As for Leeds Festival - I still think its wasteful having a shuttle service between Bramham Park and Seacroft, when Wetherby is a lot closer (its got a Morrisons) and it'd make a lot more sense to have shuttle buses running between Leeds and Wetherby via Bramham Park Festival site, thus meaning the X28 or whatever the number is could run more frequently i.e. every 10 minutes.

Tesco is significantly bigger and more importantly cheaper lol, it also helps that it's next to a bus station.

Three Metrodeckers tracking on the 197 yesterday, although 2 ended their day in Rufforth according to the tracking so its most likely an error with York Pullman diesels using the Metrodeckers' ticket machines.

B9TL 37712 has been repainted to Ultraviolet.

I think the metro deckers that appeared to be on the 197 were actually York Pullman geminis, I saw 3 of them at the station that weren't tracking as themselves. At least 4 metro deckers left James Street on 2nd July and I would imagine their ticket machines would have been removed before they left

Driver Trainer B7RLE 66975 has been repainted into the new pink Driver Training livery.

Looks like York Pullman B9TLs have been loaned to First York now that the school term is over.
36172, 37721, 36168, 37720 & 37718 are all now on First York's fleetlist. Presuambly this is to allow loaned in buses from Leeds, Bath & Leicester to return home and the various loans in Leeds to be returned as well.

== Doublepost prevention - post automatically merged: ==

B7RLE 69507 has returned to South Yorkshire from Bramley.

Looks like Leeds is loaning quite a few Streetdeck Electroliners to Glasgow. Seemingly for the Commonwealth Games?
Fleetnumbers: 36953, 36957, 36601, 36602, 36603, 36607, 36608, 36609, 36610, 36611.

Quite a lot of transfers from Bradford to Leeds to cover for Electroliners in Glasgow.
Volvo B7RLE Wright Eclipse 2: 69572
Wright Streetlite DF: 63429, 63431
Wright Streetdeck Ultroliner: 35228, 35229, 35645, 35646, 35649, 35662 & 35663.

Halifax E400 33879 has been repainted to Ultraviolet.
4 of the York Pullman geminis are in service in York today using metro decker ticket machines. Park and Ride frequencies increase from today so I would expect these to be cover for this rather than to release loaned electric vehicles most of which are also in use today

That makes sense. I wonder if more Geminis will be loaned from Pullman to allow some of the loaned Electroliners to return to Leeds now that they're loaning buses to Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games. It would allow for the Streetdeck Ultroliners to return to Bradford from Leeds.

B9TL 36168 has returned to York Pullman from loan at First York to cover for shuttle bus services to/from Univerisity of York.
