Still looking on R.T.T. no outward times still authorised by N.R. have i to to throw in the towel on this V.T. tour and no show at Nuneaton where i intended to pick up the railtour from i may just visit the ecclesbourne instead if the tour possibly could have been cancelled due to pathing issues or fire risk. Or could the times appear early morning would anyone know?
They have confirmed times on the Website now. https://vintagetrains.co.uk/the-nor...XVMTTYuMtiCZGtjPjg_aem_CRL-W8Usr9rMgsHXVQtHbA
Might just not be uploaded yet

Has anybody else noticed that one of the Mk1 carriages on the Llandudno tour yesterday had quite a 'lean'. Take a look at the fourth carriage in the set https://www.flickr.com/photos/ap863...abfph-2sae751-2sacZW4-2sae7Rs-2sac9eF-2sa2zVQ
Now i've seen mixed rakes of elderly stock many times and understand the suspension etc will never be perfect but at what point does this vehicle become out of gauge?
Also noticeable here https://www.flickr.com/photos/60319...8brTt-2s8ce1Z-2s85zFh-2s8ce2q-2s85zzk-2s8cdTj

I see what you mean but maybe have been built by a different manufacturer, different date or riding on a another design of bogie's.
Looking at the picture again the fifth coach seems thinner and the FORTH coach has a different end so all seems jagged in look.

Looks to me as though the Mk1 BFK is leaving towards the cess, whilst the one next to it leans the other way.
As the VT rake seems to be quite constant be interesting to compare it to other tours it did like Stratford etc

They are a bit lax at the moment, tickets still not sent out yet!! The day before the tour

You might want to check your spam folder! I got an email on the 1st with the confirmed timings and an updated ticket with coach and table number.

Does anyone know why it’s running 41 late?
It was held just outside York station for a while, I think due to other delayed services on the ECML. We were waiting on the platform for ages for it to get a path in. Fortunately nothing wrong with the train :)

Great shots, here are some of my photos
Nice! I’ve never tried that platform at Ponte, but looking at your shot I might give it a try in the future :) Clun Castle was immaculate today, credit to Vintage Trains for that!

I travelled to York on Saturday, i was booked on the White Rose from York to Scarborough & return (which I missed, call it old age!!)

7029 Clun Castle fresh from its intermediate overhaul arrives on its first trip out at York with 'The White Rose' to Scarborough
At its final destination at Scarborough

Vintage advise that The Shakespeare Express this Sunday (26/7) will be a diesel. Fingers crossed that it’s not strumming.
