Ah so it would be. Ignore me, turns out I was trying to buy today when there would be no minimum fare. That's a clean implementation too.

Through the TPE or Ticketyboo website or app, after registering an account or logging inGood this, very useful. If you want to get reservation at later stage when you know what train you travelling on, is there a way to do it online somehow?

Other than what has been mentioned, you can also contact the BRFares support email, and staff can make you reservations from there, too.Good this, very useful. If you want to get reservation at later stage when you know what train you travelling on, is there a way to do it online somehow?
Some work has been done in this area following discussion with BR Fares.A problem though - BR Fares is only issuing tickets on departure so this is no good from the Irish end. This is not made clear on BR Fares when clicking 'buy'. Instead it states "ToD" and "Your tickets will need to be collected at a station before travel". This is a problem as (to the best of my knowledge) there is nowhere on the island of Ireland which can print a National Rail ticket (I think the last place was Stena Belfast terminal but they don't have a machine any more). So people will get confused by this and could turn up at an irish Rail or NI Railways or a ferry terminal and expect their ticket to be available. The wording needs to be changed - even better a postal option would be good. Even better again a QR code, but I will stop dreaming now!

Brilliant great serviceOther than what has been mentioned, you can also contact the BRFares support email, and staff can make you reservations from there, too.
ThankyouYou can get reservations for any train via the account page on the TransPennine Express site. If using LNER use their site to get a seat selection option.
Is there any reason why tickets to Douglas route Isle of Man SPC aren‘t available to retail then? That would save me a trip to a ticket office so I’d definitely buy through BRFares, and I always have to make the IOMSPC reservations myself separately anyway. Might even save the faff of having to wait for the rail part of the itinerary being available in rail retail systems, and enable me to get reservations on Steam Packet further in the future.Wow - you seem to be able to buy SailRail walk ups without going to a ticket office!
I've just tried a Chester to Manchester STNS journey on Trainsplit and it works and issues as an e-ticket if that helps?Yes, this is arguably a bug with the way the retail control service data (which controls availability of e-tickets) is set up. The fares are defined to Manchester Stations but e-ticket availability is defined from Chester to Manchester Piccadilly.
Previously, some TrainSplit customers had poor experiences with SPC not honouring the ticket and Raileasy decided to simply halt sale of these tickets completely. Is there any reason why tickets to Douglas route Isle of Man SPC aren‘t available to retail then? TrainSplit is finding itineraries to any station in the group, then using the physical destination in the itinerary for the eTicket check - as there's no itinerary search in BRFares, it doesn't have the physical destination to use for the check unless your original search was to the physical locationI've just tried a Chester to Manchester STNS journey on Trainsplit and it works and issues as an e-ticket if that helps?

Great, thanks as alwaysIt's on the list to discuss and pick up at some point (for transparency it's Raileasy slowing this particular bit down)
If you can generate the route on the National Rail Enquiries website or wherever then you're absolutely fine. This looks very useful, particularly for those situations when TOC websites refuse to sell a ticket, e.g. because rail-replacement bus services haven't been entered onto the system, and therefore journey planners can't find a valid journey for the day you want to travel.
However, what would happen if an RPI, guard, barrier operative, etc refused to accept that you were travelling on a valid route? As I understand it, valid route is now determined by you being able to produce an itinerary offered by a ticket vendor, rather than the old routing guide. Would the TOC accept an itinerary for a different date?
I fairly often make journeys for which the routing is valid, but looks decidedly odd.
If you can't generate an itinerary on a TOC website, e.g. because details of RRBs haven't been entered, I doubt that you will be able to on National Rail either. If you can generate the route on the National Rail Enquiries website or wherever then you're absolutely fine.
