Perhaps it could work Saturday/Sunday vice steam?
1) KWVR doesn’t have any drivers that sign 55s. So a conductor driver would need to be sourced via the owning group that signs the traction.
2) a daily hire charge would need to be paid so if diesels were required, the 14 or 47 would step in as there is no daily charge for the use of these locomotives.

Of course - and my guests would prefer 75078 anyway :)

I've been enjoying spotting myself in YouTube videos from the diesel gala.

So thanks to all those who put their stuff online.

Why was 20031 not involved at the gala?

Currently of service, if memory serves me right it was on the 22nd of December last year when it failed before the Elf Explorer, there was no class 14 drivers so it was replaced by 78022

I combined a number of things today, originally I was just going to Hellifield for 60532 Blue Peter, but found out that 55009 Alycidon was leaving the KWVR this afternoon so 2 for the price of 1!!!

Just a few minutes before Blue Peter arrived 66537 in new Heavy Haul livery rolled light engine into Hellifield heading south for a UK Railtour on Saturday

Down to Keighley next
78022 was doing the steam service seen here with 55009 Alycidon

Lots of photos of 37423 having to run round 55009 Alycidon in KWVR platforms

I was hoping to see it run through Keighley on its way to NVR but as it was running late it left after my train home rather than before it

I'm off to the KWVR for a bash this morning. Using one of my member's complimentary day rovers.

Should be a spin behind the Duff, followed by my choice of kettles.
