Wakefield Westgate, I don't think it has any anymore. There was possibly one at one point not too long ago.

Skipton, Barrow, Whitehaven, Workington and Carnforth too I imagine.
The last London-Leeds passes non stop, or certainly did in the previous timetable when I last used it.

I've passed Birmingham International and Coventry on an Avanti divert before.

Does anything skip Hexham, aside from LNER diverts?

Not sure if Haymarket has been mentioned, but the Sleepers don't call. Pretty sure everything else does.

True, but it doesn’t always run through Westgate, it often takes diversionary routes between Doncaster and Leeds.

Every time I've used it, we've gone via Wakefield.

Only used it about 5 times though, so that's not exactly the most representative sample I know.

I track that train every night I’m working for work purposes, and it does divert frequently. It also often runs extremely early.

Which is helpful as I'm connecting onto TPE off it. Only missed the earlier train once!

I think Sevenoaks is worth a mention here. Only a handful of morning and evening fasts run through non-stop being:
1H91, 1H93, 1H62, 2W20 into London and 1H93, 1H95 and 1H97 out again. I know it's in commuter land but it fits the original question!

I suppose those North Clyde stations which the West Highland Line trains pass through without calling just about
qualify given the relative infrequency of the WHL service. The WHL sleeper would also embrace multiple stations via Bathgate to Edinburgh.

I am going to cheese this thread by saying that many commuter services - like the Overground and the GN Northern City Line - call at all stops en route, so you get stations like Highbury and Islington with all passenger services call.

But if we're going with no cheese, some stations come to mind like:
- Southend Central - only one train towards London passes fast without calling.
- Reading - around like six passenger trains pass it each day
- York - if the Lumos don't use the bypass track, they pass it fast.
- Swindon - there's one GWR service that runs from London to Bristol fast.
- Dagenham Dock, Rainham and Purfleet - There's this one morning peak service that runs fast between Barking and Grays.
- Bromley South - the trains that use the New Beckenham Curve every night/morning do not call there.

Wokingham is only passed by XC on their (now-stopped) service to Guildford; when on divert via the PDL; or sometimes when the Eastleigh TRSMD - Reading ECS is diverted that way for route-retention purposes.

Otherwise, GW and SW all stop (bar ECS).

The ECS XC via Guildford and Wokingham runs Mon-Wed-Fri every week according to RTT. It’s not a ‘sometimes’ diversion in the normal sense. There’s also a booked service every weekday in the opposite direction.

Is there many passes through Winchester? I've seen 159s non stop on diversion from Salisbury,

Potentially either an early/late XC?
There are no SWR or XC passes of passenger services, and although there are many SWR empty stock moves throughout the day there are only 1 or 2 empty XC services. There was a period a year or two back when XC skipped a number of Winchester and Brockenhurst calls for spurious capacity reasons.

Speaking of Coventry - I recall many moons ago a 'Birmingham Pullman' service non-stopping in the morning (possibly a return working in the evening). Those relatively short-lived Wrexham services using the Chiltern route - were they non-stop through Coventry?

In the current time; just WCML diversions and the Sleeper service/s I assume. Are some Euston-Liverpool/Manchester services on Trent Valley route diversions on Sunday schedule to call at Coventry as a replacement/connections for Nuneaton?

Rotherham Central:
All Northern trains stop
The 4 TP and 1 XC are non-stop

A 'variation' but not uncommon non-stop visitor through Stockport is the TP Sheffield(03-ish) to Manchester and Manchester Airport, like this one

I may be misremembering but I recall Avanti tried a non-stop Brum-London at the start of their franchise. It may even have been late VWC.

I mentioned that one in an earlier comment, it was definitely started by Virgin and inherited by Avanti.

The up WAG Express didn’t call at Prestatyn until the May timetable change. It also used to have two other services which missed it out in recent years. But I think everything now stops, with the standardisation that has accompanied the enhanced service between Chester and Llandudno Junction.

Although I do recall an early Sunday service which was non-stop from Rhyl to Shotton and on checking, the 0717 Holyhead-Crewe does omit Prestatyn, so perhaps this is the only service in the whole week that doesn’t call?
It’s bizarre that 0717 train from Holyhead does not call at Prestatyn on Sundays considering that the train has called previously at Abergele a much less busy station that normally has much lower frequency service?

I wonder why?

Also strange that upon arrival at Crewe at or around 0921, the exact same train then shuttles back in service as the 0922 to Holyhead, but with a turnaround time far less than the Minimum Connection Time at Crewe, and this time with a call at Prestatyn.

Not sure I totally understand the question but virtually every passenger train seems to stop at Haymarket. Think it's only the sleeper trains that don't stop. Surely not a terribly rare situation though. Especially on remote lines, although some may be by request.
Platform 0 at Haymarket is a terminus so the station isn't entirely comprised of through lines, but it's rarely used.
It's only really used to terminate a faulty unit to run it off to Haymarket depot. Nothing is booked to use it.

Does Hampden Park count?

Owing to it's position on the branch to Eastbourne, trains between Polegate and Hastings go through the station twice. In the current timetable they appear to call only on the 'London' side of Eastbourne, passing through non-stop on the 'Hastings' Side of the journey. So although there are regular non-stop trains those trains have called, or will call, at Hampden Park.

There is only 1 train on a regular weekday that doesn't have a stop in passenger service: 1U90 0530 Eastbourne - Ore.

Not true. I think the people at Taplow, Langley, Iver, Hayes & Harlington, Southall, Hanwell, West Ealing and Acton Mainline would like to have a chat with you.
I think that's the Elizabeth Line. Crossrail is the Paddington to Abbey Wood/Stratford bit.

At Redhill, the fast lines are completely seperate for a number of miles. I think they were built at different times by different companies.

I hope it's not a contravention of any forum rules to post a screenshot of Google Maps. Slow lines through Redhill in yellow. Fast - Quarry - lines in Red:
View attachment 205940

Having done some (very) quick research it seems the Redhill lines were buit in 1841, and the Quarry lines to bypass the bottleneck in the 1890s.

Redhill actually has two sets of fast lines. The Quarry line bypasses it entirely but there are also fast lines running through Redhill station in between the platforms.

Presumably its in a similar situation to Bromley South - the overnights don't stop there so that trains may take either route without cancellations?

If we disregard GWR, Hayes & Harlington and Southall are potential candidates for this thread as all Elizabeth line services call save for a few super-peaks?

Yes - well within the spirit of the thread.

Well Hayes and Harlington and Southall are skipped by the peak time fast trains to Reading.

How about those metropolitan line stations which are only skipped by some trains in the peak direction - not sure which ones they are, maybe Pinner?

There's also some Chiltern services which run nonstop through various mixtures of the shared Met stations, though if you count them as passing through Moor Park, Northwood, Northwood Hills, Pinner and North Harrow, the proportion goes up a fair bit

There's nine fast Amersham / Chesham services southbound, and sixteen northbound. An off-peak service of 4 tph to Watford and 2 tph each to Chesham, Amersham, and Aylesbury (for simplicity's sake, ignoring extra peak services, and assuming a 19 hour working day) makes that 63/360 trains (≈17%) passing through stations between Northwood and North Harrow which don't call including Chiltern, or 25/304 (8%) only counting the Met.

I suspect that the Chiltern services (or the Amersham Met ones) may not count at most of the stations you mention do not have platforms on the "fast" lines. Only Moor Park would count as it has 2 island platforms.

The 0510 Oxford to Worcester (weekdays) also doesn't call (or at least didn't when last I checked).
Corrrect. It has always run non-stop from Oxford to Moreton-in-Marsh to make sure it is able to get to Worcester quickly enough to be through Norton junction before the 05.23 from Hereford needs the single line to Evesham.

And there isn't a lot of demand for westbound traffic from the Oxfordshire stations at that time in the morning.
