Not quite sure what the fault with 68025 is this morning but it's progressing very slowly out of Marylebone and is getting terminated at Wembley.
There’s something here! (sorry for photo quality, has to use 10x zoom on my phone)I don't remember if it was confirmed before or not, but I've now seen a photo of 12802 at Long Marston confirming it's in blue now.
Thankyou for posting. There’s something here! (sorry for photo quality, has to use 10x zoom on my phone)
A few hours ago. I’m at an event in the site.Thankyou for posting.
When did you get that shot ?.
Looks interesting.
Is that taken from inside the site ?.
Ah, thanks, I confess I am jealous....A few hours ago. I’m at an event in the site.
Unless it's been changed, it should be 68032 on CH13Does anyone know what loco
Is currently on CH13
Currently showing working 1J47
Thanks

It looks like the allocations simply aren't showing.I'm not familiar with Chiltern but a brief lookup for 68s today shows nothing out, is this the case? I do note some missing Chiltern allocations today as of this morning.
Are 68s no longer frequent on Marylebone services now?

Can anyone in the Chiltern area provide Mk 1 eyeball for us please?
91s on LNER have been pulled as the Mk 4 air conditioning isn't reliable enough. That's on the heat effects thread. Thanks wasn't sure if it was simply the heat or something. Can't see any 91s out either or if that's an unrelated issue.
Chiltern & LNER stood down91s on LNER have been pulled as the Mk 4 air conditioning isn't reliable enough. That's on the heat effects thread.
A lot of the whole rail networkWhat are the LHCS stood down for?
I guess DRS are using 68's today on freight how are they performing?
Can't see any 3Q's out today for Chiltern, surely it would be sensible to use 2 x 68 and a MK5 set to see hot weather performance with a second 68 as insurance?
Chiltern & LNER stood down
TFW still running 5 x 67s & MK4’s sets today
Because of the predicted heat. What are the LHCS stood down for?
The LHCS (or rather thier HVAC) cannot adequately support the 'extreme heat events'. This has been proven in the previous 4 to 6 weeks. Can't see any 3Q's out today for Chiltern, surely it would be sensible to use 2 x 68 and a MK5 set to see hot weather performance with a second 68 as insurance?
Aren't the 3Q paths for testing purposes which means they only run on a run as required basis?Because of the predicted heat.
Because NR 'invited' operators to reduce their service levels, due to said predicted heat.
'Less services on the network = better resilience'
Lack of LHCS = 2 birds, one stone.

As for the lack of 3Q paths, file that under the reduction of train service category.
Running a second loco on the formation doesn't change the capability of the HVAC unit(s).
It's not generally the locos which have been letting the side down.
Only driver training now.Aren't the 3Q paths for testing purposes which means they only run on a run as required basis?
I could understand older rolling stock having aircon that can't cope with this weather, but surely modern rolling stock such as the Mark 5a should have something decent? Especially as they were built in Spain where these kinds of temperatures aren't as exceptional.Because of the predicted heat.

They had some aircon issues with TPE previously.I could understand older rolling stock having aircon that can't cope with this weather, but surely modern rolling stock such as the Mark 5a should have something decent? Certainly on the loco hauled set on Sunday, the (declassified) first class coach was quite warm. I guess more down to the poor design of the bottom of the window AC vents being blocked by the tables. The 168 in comparison was coldI could understand older rolling stock having aircon that can't cope with this weather, but surely modern rolling stock such as the Mark 5a should have something decent? How did you hear it was declassified? That’ll make it much busier.Certainly on the loco hauled set on Sunday, the (declassified) first class coach
Chiltern Journey Check had it listed as full & standing from Marylebone with First Class declassified, by the time it reached Leamington Spa the front coach at least was half full when I boarded. How did you hear it was declassified? That’ll make it much busier.
That's a positive step.Chiltern Journey Check had it listed as full & standing from Marylebone with First Class declassified, by the time it reached Leamington Spa the front coach at least was half full when I boarded.
Nothing mentioned it at Leamington Spa itself, the screens were still suggesting that upgrades were available (seemingly does that for all the 68 hauled sets). No sign of the guard (they hid away in the staff area at the front of the coach, only popping out to do the doors at the various stations). The general rule is once a train has been formally declassified it can't be reversed if the train empties outThat's a positive step.
Many onboard / stationborne/ departure board information though?
One assumes declassification, once enacted, is not reversed en route (for example if 75% of the passengers bailed at Bicester, for example.
