As previously stated the junction of the A58 with Red Hall Lane, leeds where the junction is controlled by a mini roundabout.Which mini roundabout? The only mini roundabouts the X98/99 go past between Wetherby and Redhall are in Wetherby?
There is no mini roundabout there as shown in this Youtube video of the accidentAs previously stated the junction of the A58 with Red Hall Lane, leeds where the junction is controlled by a mini roundabout.
Nowhere near Wetherby
Thats part of the YAPP logo if you watch the Youtube video it moves all over the placeOne of the photos on yappapp's Facebook page appears to show a white circle in the middle of the road.
Happy to be corrected
It does feel a tad short-sighted to only just be doing the repaints and refurbishments of the open-toppers smack-bang in the middle of open-top season...Latest update regarding the B7TL Open-Top fleet:
20893 is now in the bodyshop
20894 complete from paintshop now undergoing MOT
20895 is now in the paintshop
20896 is awaiting parts prior to paintshop.

I live ten minutes down the road. It’s a road I travel on all the time. The nearest mini roundabout to there is on Redhall Lane, well away from the accident site. One of the photos on yappapp's Facebook page appears to show a white circle in the middle of the road.

Currently the open-top fleet is only used on weekends. The plan is to get as many of the open-top buses finished in time for the summer holidays for when the 99 & 100 go to daily and the 99 increases in frequency to every 10 minutes so more open-top buses will be needed. It does feel a tad short-sighted to only just be doing the repaints and refurbishments of the open-toppers smack-bang in the middle of open-top season...
719 can't have been on both as it tracked simultaneously on the 99 & 100. 739 was simultaneously tracking on the 64 & the 99, if I had to guess, it was on the 64 and an open-top was on the 99 719 could be on the either but not both.719 has tracked on both services 99 and 100 today. So is 719 on one of them and open tops on the other.
YY26FKW had also arrived by tonightADL E400MMC 20955 YY26FKV arrived today

Believe this is a ticket machine error, it’s actually 20945 which is now out on the road26 plate E400 MMC 20946 appears to have entered service yesterday.
Ah OK. Hopefully the 26 plate Enviros enter service soon, they are desperately needed on the X46.Believe this is a ticket machine error, it’s actually 20945 which is now out on the road
Photo evidence now proves it was actually 20945 (incorrectly inputted on the ticket machine as 20946) - was on the 56 until lunch time before the bus got changed out for 20944Believe this is a ticket machine error, it’s actually 20945 which is now out on the road
Arriva and Transdev had all but pulled out of doing the 197s when I used to do them for York Pullman (my last was 2023), they would turn up on an adhoc basis, so it's good another operator has joined, especially after YP became part of FirstBus.A couple of observations from EY:
- Moors Rover tickets are now issued & accepted on the X81, allowing connectivity from the X81 onto the M8 In Castle Howard and the wider Moorsbus network.
- As part of the timetable changes for the 81/X81 on 31st May, Bulmer no longer appears in any of the timetables I can find online despite both services still running through the village on the way to Castle Howard from Sheriff Hutton. Presumably this is an error in the data being uploaded.
- EY has joined First York, York Pullman & Connexions in providing buses for the 197 York Racecourse Shuttle Service. They've been using mostly EvoSetis with the odd E400 MMC appearing, operating from Pocklington depot.
Reliance also did the 197 with their last season being 2024 as they sold off their operations to Transdev in January 2025. Last year it was just First York, York Pullman & Connexions. Nobody seems to have told ITravel York, who still list Arriva and Transdev as operators of the 197 but not Connexions.Arriva and Transdev had all but pulled out of doing the 197s when I used to do them for York Pullman (my last was 2023), they would turn up on an adhoc basis, so it's good another operator has joined, especially after YP became part of FirstBus.
Ahh yes, how could I forget Reliance, I used to use their ticket machine on Race weekends as we only had a couple with contactless at the time!Reliance also did the 197 with their last season being 2024 as they sold off their operations to Transdev in January 2025. If a company operated in York over the last few years, chances are they operated the 197 at some point.Ahh yes, how could I forget Reliance, I used to use their ticket machine on Race weekends as we only had a couple with contactless at the time!
Very true!B8RLE 20387 has transferred to Cleckheaton for Go Ahead West Yorkshire.
