Haven’t they already done this? How many consultations must one do before they just get on with it
Unfortunately that’s just how the process works. TfL has to show it’s listened to people about its plans. Part of the ridiculous bureaucracy that has infected the planning system and sends costs through the roof.

I've lost count of the number of consultations I've answered or ignored about the Lower Thames Crossing.

Here's something I was just thinking. Since they're building a new tunnel under the Thames and they would probably need an emergency tunnel for evacuation. Why not build a pedestrian/cycle tunnel between the 2 railway tunnels to better connect Beckton and Thamesmead with active modes of transport.

They’d want it clear of the public to work as an emergency tunnel. It’s 700m shore to shore, likely twice that for a tunnel for cyclists on DLR type descents. This is off putting to many. Even the proposed DLR/bus/pedestrian bridge in this area wasn’t going to be popular with pedestrians.

How did Norway build that Emergency Tunnel Cycle path then if it isn't feasible here?

Do the Crossrail tunnels under the Thames have a third tunnel for evacuation?

They won't need an emergency tunnel, as there will be two separate rail tunnels already - emergency access will be via cross passages, as in every other modern rail tunnel under the Thames

Can’t we solve the issue by getting Southeastern High Speed to stop somewhere around Rainham (Essex)

Too late for this idea I think (and obviously fairly expensive, but perhaps not as expensive as another river crossing) but a sham that the new Beam Park station couldn't feature an interchange between Southeastern High Speed services (platofrms on passing loops), C2C services and the DLR Dagenham Dock extension. Would certainly help to accelerate housing delivery in the area.

By having a different public culture. Norway has built a lot of tunnels, many that we would never consider financially viable for lack of people benefitting and some that enough people wouldn't want to use for personal feelings of safety. They've built cheaper tunnels by skimping on safety, though this is more directly relevant to comparing the eastern coastal road tunnels with the Scottish islands' proposed tunnels. If your specific point is about the Fyllingsdalstunellen being the emergency route for the Bergen Light Rail tunnel next to it, then that's a legal matter. That is a change in law I'd support.

I'm sure some will prefer the slower DLR but given all the projects in London it hardly seems priority number 1.
Those with kids will definitely prefer the DLR, they can’t ‘drive’ the EL trains.

There’s no point of having a new HS1 station between stratford and ebbsfleet as it’s too close in the sense of high speed.

And dagenham dock extension as said, the London Overground extension to Barking Riverside reduced the essentialness of having additional rail connection to the barking riverside area.

It would probably have been cheaper to build a cycle tunnel at woolwich as it’s narrower and can guarantee enough usage as both sides are having enough population.

There seems to be no third evacuation tunnel in between the rail tunnels.

An IanVisits article on a large model of London having the DLR Thamesmead extension added to it- unfortunately, it makes the whole thing look elevated, wheras the Barking Riverside station is at grade, the Thamesmead station is elevated, and the line between them in tunnel:
