Hi, not a londoner so i just assumed Harrow and Wealdstone would have ticket scanners at the barriers as well but they didn’t (or i missed them in a rush) so i used my contactless card. I was traveling with a sibling and gave them my physical card whilst i used the same one on the phone. Any problems getting this refunded and where can i get this refunded? Is it the tfl form?

Thanks

Where did you travel from and *exactly* what ticket did you hold?

For future reference, wave any sort of 2D barcode at the guy in the ticket office and they will open the gates. If they aren't there the barriers should be left open.

Call TfL on 0343 222 1234 and explain what happened. If its your first time, they are often willing to cancel charges due to mistouches.

Log into the TfL website, find the transaction and there will be an option next to it to contact them about a refund. If its a first time error it is likely you will just get an automatic refund after asking for it, or it may send a contact form to TfL.

From Harrow and Wealdstone with an off-peak return Northampton to Euston. Was returning back to northampton having taken the tube from euston already.

I got charged £10.80 twice. Sibling was using my physical card while i used contactless. A single ride off peak (after 9:30) is £3.80 right? I went from Euston to Rayners Lane, then took the bus to Harrow & Wealdstone (H&W) as it was cheaper and about as fast. But only got charged £1.75 once for some reason (that too with another card i must've tapped instead).

Edit: Checked tfl website it's because i didn't tap out of H&W.
