I presume the whole reason for using 195s is so NH don't have to maintain an extra five 156s. Swapping 156s for 195s on other routes doesn't get them anywhere. Far easier just to leave the 156s on the coast. One of the quotes I saw from Northern mentioned "flexing the fleet" so I wonder if...

Yes. All west side Morecambe services are bustituted on Sundays. The only trains running are those crewed from Skipton.

Fixed distant boards at Morecambe if I recall correctly. 1675182108 Indeed it is a bone. Barriers are now down for at least 6 minutes for trains coming from Morecambe. 10 is not uncommon, and longer is not unheard of. Used to be 2-3 minutes when the box was there.

I'm fairly sure Barrow operate the Lancaster-Morecambe section of one of the Leeds services and also the Sunday Leeds-Heysham. That may be a different crew link to those that operate the airport services though.
