I suspect the other thing preventing any major timetable too soon is that they need to be careful they don’t follow GTR and Northerns example and have a shortage of drivers, sorry I mean a short term timetable amendment by implementing a new timetable too quick.
Looks smart in that photo, although I do wonder about that cab door, is the drivers conversion course going to require a session of weight watchers for some :lol:

I’d go the other way, scrap reservations totally. For advance purchase it would just be an allocated train reservation like applied currently on services where advance purchase exists yet seat reservations...
It will be cost and possibly capacity, although more likely Cost, Cost and Cost with a bit of consideration about cost.
They'll want 2 cars not 3 to save issues with deselect and the 156s have more seats than 2 car 170s.
Of course the other noted issue now is the range of these things on diesel. it seems to be getting lower and lower which will be fun for outstabled units
The new units will accelerate much better than the 90s so will be more useful than an extra 10mph that isn’t ever used anyway.

If you renew it for the year they will charge the full price but if you decide at any point during the validity as long as there are 7 days left and you will get back the difference.

I don’t think any current 1st class annual season ticket holder will have to worry about the lack of first class with their tickets.
At any time a 1st class holder could get a changeover at a ticket office, and get the remaining difference back anyway.

Brantham depot is dead. AIUI its a case of upgrade Norwich and stick a fuel point in at Colchester.
I think some Silverlink 321s were only short term I guess they've gone back off lease now which hasn't helped the availability of the fleet?
