I think all the E400MMCs that were due back (except the 5 that are staying longer) are actually back now. Not all are back in service yet as they have to be fitted back into the servicing schedule. I know some are parked up near Newquay but several need to have ticket machine base plates and...
When St Austell had a depot there was just a cradle hanging from the roof with 4 chains hanging from each corner. On the end of the chains were 'u' bolts which fitted on to each corner of the roof which had permanent eyelets fitted to it, then with a hand winding winch the roof was lifted off...
I have noticed on several routes that First Kernow (FK) don't do any more (except for college runs), that FK flags are still up but no TfC flags!
I did notice that as soon as TfC came along they took down FK flags and put their own flags up on routes that FK still do.
Personally as a driver i would prefer it if FK only had deckers for a couple of reasons . I do realise that small buses have to be on some routes I.e the 24 fowey and m6 due to bridges and narrow tight roads and maybe some others I havent though of.

Actually working for the company and seeing from outside can give very different views. The buses at Padstow,Kelly Bray, Lee moor plymouth and Exeter dont get fueled at their own depot but either sumnercourt or truro or a petrol station during the day. The duty boards state where and when to...
It was on the understanding that the council wanted their own branding and name (TfC) as basically they wanted which ever company did the tenders to lose their identity. So if FK had won the tenders, would the buses have still been red and carried the TfC name? I think it was more a case of...
It would seem that the council wanted tfc to be the same as tfl but the only resemblance tfc has to tfl is buses are red !! Trying to run buses in Cornwall the same as london hasn't and wont work !!
This might be slightly off topic or be in the wrong place to ask so apologies if its the case.
I know FK and PCB/TFC issue return tickets here in Cornwall but I did hear a while back that alot of opcos only issue single tickets. Is Cornwall in a minority for issuing returns or in the...
There are PCB liveried buses still running around Cornwall and likewise there are TFC buses running around devon. With all the plastering of TFC advertising at bus stations and removal of FK bus stop flags isn't it a fair chance that tickets bought on line might not do as well as they could...
All PCB buses in Cornwall are ment to be in TFC livery. Granted that yes if they are short of buses in Cornwall they may get one from plymouth in PCB livery. Do pcb get fined now for incorrect liveried bus in cornwall ?
