Well from what I’ve personally experienced until you are classed as operational ie doing your learning hours or fully qualified then you won’t be getting a pass due to fact that spaces are In rather short supply and cost the company a small fortune so yes in the eyes of the company it does matter.
Jase are you starting your hours or just watching another driver?
If it’s the latter I’d be amazed if they give you a space at Ellis street for that
as for quickest route it’s pretty much cross over by the pagoda island and walk down John bridge street which is at the back of the Alexandra theatre
I had a mixture of shirts and polos some in my group had all Polos it’s just a preference really as for the ties I have no idea just pretty much order one of everything your not expected to wear it anyway so I wouldn’t worry too much.
sizes are a different matter I followed the guidance on the...
Ye it’s a lot to take in but as long as your group help each other you’ll be fine, we’ve just finished traction which as most will attest to is the hardest most stressful part of the whole course so glad that’s behind us now! Start Rules two next week then beyond that we’re likely to be stood down.
Unless things have now changed since I did it all in Jan you’ll be at home for the 1st week just doing teams based stuff, week 2 you’ll have to go to Tysley to do the PTS practical then week three you’ll start at the academy.
Regarding the parking at depots its not something your going to be getting until your classed as operational especially if your based at new street, there is a distinct lack of parking atm, so parking for trainees just isn’t going to be a priority.
Even for front ending it’s basically get the...
Has been really good but nothing much to do with driving so to speak, all Microsoft teams based at home, going through the company induction program along with some office staff and the new conductor intake, nice and relaxed so far but have PTS beginning tomorrow with an practical assessment on...

Sounds like a difficult situation but I’m literally itching to get out of my current job so I’m if that’s the way there working atm then so be it, hopefully things will be different in 4 months for a lot of people but until then I’m just glad to be on board tbh!
