Scotrail is desperate for drivers, hundreds leaving for Transpennnine, Virgin & freight.
Morale at an all time low amongst drivers, jobs are the worst they've been in my 15 years, no investment from Abellio, the trains are being held together by the dirt on them.
What depot would you fancy...
Glasgow drivers (actually freightliner drivers) currently only go to Carlisle.
there isn't actually a glasgow depot isn't yet.
Suprised they are looking for trainees in glasgow with the amount of qualified drivers that applied for the positions not to mention the current freightliner drivers...
Freightliner have trainee driver jobs advertised on the website again, intermodal & Heavy Haul.

Mate, no point in listening to random strangers on an internet forum, most know next to nothing.
The only way to find out info is by actually speaking to a db driver, try arrange a wee visit to a depot.
Thought max turn length at FLIM was 11 hrs.
Suppose the weekend work is depot dependant but i know up here in the 13 week roster they have 0 sundays 1 5hr Saturday morning turn amd 1 Saturday spare.
I don't know what TOC you work for but it sounds like you've landed lucky.
Any bothy I've been in guys from other depots of the same company get treated like ****
Most bothys have rat traps everywhere & stinking toilets that constantly run short of bog roll and soap.
The cheapest I've ever seen...
I can't give you any info but i know you'll be told on here "don't do it"
Use the search function and there's lots of similar threads that'll give you sone info mate.
