I'm unclear if the 321/9 (and 322's) are still in use ? If so, does anyone know when are we expecting them to go off lease please ?

Northern are waiting on 15 x 156 from EMR who are waiting 170’s from TfW who are waiting on 197 / Mk4 / 153’s. These will replace the 153’s (over which only 4 are diagrammed) but I’m not clear if they will also replace the 155’s. Could TfW requirement for 8 x 153 be met by Northern’s compliant...

The Northern Class 156 derogation letter doesn't seem to cover the 5 ex-Scotrail examples. Are these going off lease now or can / are they going to be used with compliant units ?

So as far as I can gather from this forum Heaton has it's target of 31 x 156 but maybe only 16 of it's target 18 x 158. (So looks like they are running a couple or so 142 until the end of the year / until units come back from works). However, they will have the 5 unmodified ex-Scotrail 156...

I'm guessing that the 150's and 158's in works get done before the end of the year, leaving approx 8 150's and 3 158's to do, which equates to the extension for 11 142's until mid February. Then the plan seemed to have 48 195 in service leaving 10 to introduce plus 11 156 still to PRM plus 5...

I had assumed that Northern would need at least 8 x 331's to the East to replace the 3 x 321 and 5 x 322. Understand from this thread that 1 x 321 is 'stored' and plan was for more to be stored by now. Confused that still only 6 x 4 car 331's reported to the East. Is there a deliberate plan to...
