Hi all,
I'm just wondering if someone can confirm what is booked to run the EMT 06:33 St Pancras to York service on a Saturday?
I'll be using the service next weekend and wondered what to expect? HST, short 222 or long 222?
Cheers.
It was mentioned a few pages back about Supertram not having contactless payment facilities....... Well a quick update on that is that it was on the local news yesterday that they will be introducing contactless by early summer this year.
The traffic lights were working normally at the time of the incident but had been turned off after the incident due to the truck taking one set of lights out. Numerous witnesses interviewed on local radio said the truck jumped a red light and hit the tram.
Here's an image taken just after it...
Opening scenes possibly meant to be set in the Hope Valley then boarding a train back to Sheffield but the scenes day on the rocks before they got the train looked very much like the area overlooking Stocksbridge and the Woodhead line...... How ironic.
Yes both Stagecoach and First Group have contactless card and Apple Pay facilities on all their buses in Sheffield /South Yorkshire now so strange why the tram doesn't.
New expansion / game version being released next month.........

Sorry if this has already been mentioned before.....
Do the new Citylink trams have a coupling behind the bumper area? Just thinking if one ever failed whilst on the rail network between Parkgate and Tinsley there would be a need to be able to recover it to get the train services moving again...
I've actually seen it myself today whilst I was in the car..... Externally it looks far more uniformly light blue and didn't look dirty etc.... The confetti is more noticeable as confetti in reality.
I'm also assuming it'll not be used later in the evenings when the passengers might be...
As part of their countdown to opening their new Sheffield store Ikea have "refurbished" one of the Sheffield trams with new seat coverings and even carpets!!!!
Not sure how long it is remaining in service like this but the store opens towards the end of the month.
