If we're allowing light rail, on the Tyne and Wear Metro we have Regent Centre to Longbenton. I did include West Jesmond to Manors, but obviously they're served by direct services in an indirect manner!

I believe this was planned engineering works. On 20th April 2013, I travelled on 1M60, 15:57 Edinburgh Waverley - Carlisle, routed via Linlithgow, Falkirk Grahamston, Cumbernauld and Motherwell. Hope this helps!

Tyne and Wear Metro beyond Pelaw, where the lines for South Shields and Sunderland diverge. Main Line to South Shields curves to the left, position 4 junction indicator for the chord onto Network Rail and Sunderland is straight on - Actually slightly to the left of 12 o'clock.

I don't know if LNER still sign Dinsdale, however in HST days I was on a service which was diverted from Darlington to Stockton (reverse) then forward via Yarm and Boroughbridge Road.
