Just looked, 1E30 was held in Doncaster around 20 minutes last night at 2330. Maybe coincidence given the stack of southbound trains at Grantham then or awaiting said fitter.
Feel like I swerved a bullet as was on 1940 out of London, to which we were only 30 minutes late though the 1930...
I would assume this may relate to unit availability today on Hull Trains. Looks like only 2 units been out all day, and I wonder if (given the cancellation of service prior) the priority has been Doncaster and beyond passengers (with acceptance for Grantham on LNER).
Edited to add
Looks like...
It now has the signal back northbound so I wonder if work has completed, or allowance for diesel, meaning quicker with where it was to send back south and reverse at Stevenage then carrying on through Cambridge. Looks to be a Southbound grant northern also despatched recently from Peterborough
That would have been just the day coaches, I believe from the last couple of weeks. Normal (ex-Euston) service terminated at Edinburgh (coaching or brake issues as I recall), but the day coaches sent onwards as normal to Fort Bill.
Looks like in normal times, 1Y84 is planned to be overtaken at Doncaster by 1Y15. 1Y84 (from what I can see) is due to come out of Doncaster on the slows, picking up the fasts again just South of Doncaster (near Rossington). This gives that little bit more time than being held directly in the...
I believe they are aiming to get it open during today to at least get stock in the right place for Monday. I am advised there are 4 Thameslink units in Bedford as against a much higher number normally.
As you reference there are works this weekend and they will still happen keeping the line...
From looking at Wembley events (nothing on EFL as you reference), it looks like all 3 will be on May bank holiday weekend (29/30/31) no doubt with order to be confirmed. FA cup final is 22nd May and the Rugby League Challenge Cup final is the first Saturday in June - I guess it must then be...
Any athletes out there, there is a (second) chance to run the runway of DSA. 10K on the evening of 31/10/2026 and a 5k in mid May 2027. This to me confirms previous comments that nothing (regular) prior to the VERY least summer of 2027. Oh and as a local, yes I will b doing both having done...
Another was meant to be at Hendon as my lad was meant to be working tomorrow there. Not formally cancelled yet, but no blockades showing on signalmaps so assuming cancelled as the materials have not been able to get through.
I will add, I think an excellent job done by the moderators last night and today. Similar to Huntingdon, a lot happening in a short space of time and considerate moderation done through the forum (can't have been easy)
I assume this is why there are moves from Derby to Holbeck of barrier vehicles. Then movements between Holbeck and Neville Hill (prior to return to Derby). Seen them a couple of times at Wakefield Westgate in a morning and wondered what they were.
Just adding to my post earlier in the week, the Grosmont coop (shop next to the level crossing in Grosmont) is reporting today the footbridge is now open. Looks to be strengthened with scaffolding around it.
From images on facebook (from the Grosmont coop) it appears work has already started on the bridge, which I read as trying to find a way to get it open (even if supported by scaffolding)
