54 people still in hospital several days after the accident, especially given how keen the NHS usually is to get people moved on, certainly emphasizes that it was a really big impact.
That was my impression on reading the report too.
I guess there's years and years of "lessons learned" and arse covering in these documents such that it's now virtually impossible to ever make anything smaller and more practically meaningful.
Any info on this working ? It seems to be a very very long journey with hours spent in various loops.

Have you thought about putting your bags in a left luggage place in Edinburgh central rather than going back to your original hotel ? There are plenty of places that offer this service.
A few years ago they had posters by the gatelines which had a list of all the "peak trains" between 4pm and 7pm for which many off-peak tickets are not valid, but the posters also had a tiny footnote that explained something along the lines of "off peak tickets for other routes may be valid on...
Presumably the Greenford service is bundled with a load of other stuff, and there are existing agreements about how it's all bundled and how many drivers you need for the whole lot.
Maybe they don't even need to, if they can run the Good Friday service without striking staff. On a normal day, they were only losing one service out of six, I think.
