When I was down last year they had double decker buses turning round outside the Sunburnt Arms pub and going back up the hill to get to Starcross that way? Didnt think a double decker could negotiate Cockwood Harbour
does anyone know if there are any scheduled movements "wrong line" on this section, apart from any caused by engineering possessions on the other line?
There are no booked departures of that nature, unless you count the evening Wimslows which come in form Picc on 1 and go back the same way...
Yep, you can use the train between Starcross and Tiegnmouth, just jump on the stopper (Exmouth - Paington) or the bus. Not sure if the bus still goes down the road along the Warren anymore.
On arrival at Teignmouth you can walk to Shaldon bridge, Skew bridge and all along the sea wall.
On...
There are several good locations in that area, here are some of them:-
Cockwood Harbour near Starcross.
Langstone Rock Dawlish Warren
The sea wall at Dawlish and Tiegnmouth
Rockstone bridge Dawlish
Shaldon Bridge
Skew Bridge Tiegnmouth
You will see some of the above here:-...
Not sure what you mean as preffered bidder? According to the latest "Rail" mag. Potential bidders for wcml i.e Virgin, Northern Abellio, Ftpe, Govia and Arriva are invited to complete a PQQ to evaluate how good a possible bid may be. The top scoring PQQ's then get invited to tender. The winner...
Platforms 2/3 at MCO are already 6 car platforms. However, a 6 car on 3 would block 4 from a 6 car using all the platform, hence signal MP418 protecting that.
With only two feeder tracks going in and out of the station, after leaving the platforms. I can't see where any improvements to...
Just walk away and leave it mate. You don't know what circumstances the person was working under. We work very unsocial hours on the railways and it can put a strain on relationships. Early starts, late finishes, long shifts and overtime can sometimes take there toll. We can all have a bad day!
You can organise your pics into sets. You can call the set what your like i.e mine are in Class of loco and in Area i.e Warrington, Western Region. You can have the same pic on both sets. Take a look at the link below:-
Hope this helps a little.

As a rough guide the trains down to the Halt (mufc) on match days, are usually approx 20 mins apart. Starting about an hour before kick off and it's always a 323. Some of these services start at Crewe so they are rammed by Man Picc. Depending on the "game" they will send 3 or 4 down. The return...
If you have full sun the Parkway end is better for approaching shots as you can get a full train set in. The Bath Rd end would have the sun above it so basically you would be pointing right at it! Also not easy to get a full train set in at that end unless you move under the canopy. I would show...
I have to agree with the OP. I found the first class experiance to London from Halifax most enjoyable. Large comfy adjustable seats, Wi-Fi, electric to charge up my iphone and a fabulous service from all the train crew. You can hardly hear the engines in first class, it's only when the vestubule...
