Does anyone know how different an Azuma train might be to drive compared to other trains?
Reason I ask is that I have read the Azuma's won't be operating until 2018, and if they are different do you think this role would
a) include training for and driving other trains first and then...
Yes. Not expecting to hear anything for a few months now. I might be wrong. I saw quite a few managerial positions advertised with closing dates towards the end of April. I figure from speaking to HR a while back that once that recruitment is finished (and any new staff have worked their notice...
Did anyone manage to speak to HR? I've tried calling for the last 20 minutes or so but just get a recorded message. I thought we'd have heard something at least today, even just to say the process has been delayed.
I'd have to pay off the final four weeks, so effectively not get paid for the four weeks notice I work. It would be a struggle but I'd make it work somehow.
I'm hoping that if I'm lucky enough to be successful, the start date will be put back. I have to give eight weeks notice, so I could be put in a difficult position if the start date stays at 4th April.
This echoes what I was told at my interview for York. Even so, I was hoping it would be more like the below:
Does anybody know if the planned start date is still 4th April?
I sat Stage 2 assessments on Friday 15th and still waiting to hear whether I've passed or failed. I'll let you know when I hear anything.
P.S. Thanks to all for the useful information in this thread, it's really helped with the whole application process.
