Glasgow Subway - did anyone ever call it the Clockwork Orange?

I agree, as a local, I only hear people from outside of Glasgow mention it.

rovers and rangers: new interactive map

I have just come across this, it looks like an excellent resource. Did you remove the Scottish rovers @fishwomp ?

To reserve or not to reserve? (seats)

I personally think that seat reservations should be limited to long distance trains only. They are otherwise a pain because they create unnecessary conflict. A few points from me: Look at the many examples of where seat reservations are not displayed and there are inconsistencies in what...

ScotRail - New app / website booking engine from 30 July 2026

Just a reminder for people in the Central Belt (in the area coloured below): [Image above shows a network map of the Central Belt of Scotland with a number of lines highlighted in colour.] PDF link to map: https://www.scotrail.co.uk/media/48457/download?inline ... the Tap & Pay app is...

    Ember: Electric coach service

The quality of the buses on that Stagecoach route are not great. I recall struggling to fit in the seats, I'm not particularly tall or that big!

    Traksy Website

Takno, I was wondering if you were aware of issues with the route indicators around Glasgow? Screenshot below shows all the routes being indicated at the same time for a lot of sets of points. This issue has been on going for a number of months. I assume something changed in the data source -...

    Scotrail auto announcers

I've been hearing these announcements recently on the north Clyde lines and agree with the other posters. Whilst they might be technically better behind the scenes, the quality and clarity of the audio is exceptionally poor - they sound unprofessional and amateurish.

    Scotrail 1st class tickets

Another way to do this is just buy the period return and pay for the £5 upgrade each way per person on the train. Details: https://www.scotrail.co.uk/tickets/first-class

Problems reading RailUK Fares & Ticketing Guide - Section 3 - Routeing

I get the same issue. I wonder if a forum software update has rendered some of the links inoperable at some point? For others trying to replicate the issue: Section 3 - Routing: https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/railuk-fares-ticketing-guide-section-3-routeing.70716/ Click on any of the...

    Interrail Passes

Unfortunately, SBB stopped selling paper interrail/eurail tickets in 2023. So I suspect the only option will be a digital pass.

    BR Fares

Just another voice of support here. The issue has now gone for me and the page is much more usable on Safari on MacOS.

    BR Fares

I have found there is a bit of a lag in Safari on MacOS when first going to the homepage. For a couple of seconds, nothing is clickable until the Cloudflare box appears. Chrome seems OK though.

LNER Delay repay - train cancelled partway through journey

You claim from LNER (https://www.lner.co.uk/support/delay-repay/). If your original scheduled arrival was 18:21, then any delay repay is claimed on the lateness relative to that time.

    European Railway Timetable iOS App

The Android version is no longer updated. The November 2025 digital edition was the last one to be uploaded. It looks like they've moved to a PDF model for the digital editions. Which in my view is better, as the app wasn't the best.
