Hello, and yes, on the southbound journeys (Derby to Birmingham New Street for example) are sometimes full to the brim literally. I have also found that the northbound services (Derby to Sheffield for example) are practically empty sometimes.

I see your point on the EMT 153's, but I think the Crosscountry Trains HSTs are the worst. They are usually full, hot and sweaty. There is no room to move what so ever to go to the toilet or to get off at a stop. Some passengers have suitcases blocking the aisle, and are not asked or told to...
