Yea 10 seems to be the average amount. This is the size of the group for training at Stratford and not your individual depot. During the latest mod 4 done at Norwich there were only 2
Hi
I know GA likes to take a mix of people who work in the rail industry already and external candidates. People from outside come from a huge variety of roles and this helps bring in fresh ideas.
I myself worked as a postman for over 20 years and I have found the transition really easy as...
Well done those starting at Norwich in May. I started as a depot driver at Crown Point in January. You'll love it. The training is well structured and you'll be surprised how much you learn so quickly. Any help or questions from my point of view I'll be happy to help with.
When I took my drivers assessment I was asked if I had ever been for any assessments before. I had passed a guard one 7 years previous but this wasn't even taken into consideration. As far as they were concerned it was my 1st attempt at a drivers assessment. Probably best to double check but I'm...
Had my induction this week so I start my depot driving course on Monday 20th. Cant wait. I'm told I'm the only external guy on the course and there will be 3 internals with me. I take it you'll be one then! What do you do at the minute mate?
I don't believe it would count as your 2 attempts as they are two totally different assessments as you will find out.
It has to be the same assessment to count as your 2 strike rule which means if you do happen to fail the drivers assessment twice and they change it sometime in the future then...
Get your hands on an old etch-a-sketch. It's probably the closest thing I can think of to practice with. You can try drawing the shape over and over again to get the hang of your hands doing different movements
Hi all
Heard back yesterday that I have passed my DMI and have a medical today. I'm over the moon to be offered a job but in all the excitement I have forgotten to ask what the shift patterns/hours will be. Does anyone know what hours a depot driver works at crown point in Norwich
Thanks
Hopefully you'll hear soon then. If I was to fail at stage 2 then, does that mean I won't have to do stage 1 again and can skip straight to stage 2 in 6 months?
Btw the guys who failed in the morning with us on stage 1 were asked to email back in around 5 months to take the tests again.
I was there yesterday for depot driver assement. Same tests as you lot. 5 of us started and only 2 made it to the afternoon. I was told I should hear back today my results but not heard anything. Was thinking they would group us with you lot for stage 2
