Not sure how long you have worked there, Colas did a restructure last year and changed the whole recruitment team and process and tbh it’s been crap ever since they are non responsive and generally can’t give you any answers when you do manage to get in touch, kind of sums up the whole Hr team...

Don’t worry to much about the GCSE side of things if you don’t have them you will be able to do them along side the train drivers apprenticeship at the high speed collage, It’s just a few small assignments to get the grades required, The JD role is Yard based but depending on the yard you are...

Id make your own mind up if you get the job there everyone has different opinions Personally I enjoyed working with some of the people (drivers and some office staff) I wouldn’t ever return to Colas as an employee but that’s just my view, like I said everybody is different,

Working for Colas Mobile means you can travel anywhere, Colas drivers give 1 hour in there own time ( mobile with a van ) either side of the shift so could work 14 hours days, They also have a lot of lodging turns

After training and being with a mentor it, 6-2 2-10 10-6 but I’m not sure if it depends on location or not

Have you had a medical? I think everybody is placed in a talent pool after assessments then a start date is given further down the line,

Depends on what you do during your JD training, Some people have only been doing the short course some are doing full rules because the yards they will be working in require them to be on the mainline
