I was travelling on the 2G40 St Pancras to Bedford tonight, departing 2250 (http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/X44893/2017/05/20/advanced) and foolishly left a couple of pink bags on the train containing (unwrapped) birthday presents - nothing particularly valuable but mildly annoying to...
Once the new underground crossrail platforms open, (aside from potentially during engineering works) HX and XR will not call at the same platforms at Paddington, so could they distinguish using that fact? This may fall down depending on whether you need to go through barriers to interchange...
These threads are always good for a bit of light relief. :p
I do love it when people stand in front of the doors of a train they have no intention of boarding (thus blocking it for everyone around them), just so they can try and be first on their train. Then again I can't help but smirk a...
Ah that was intentional, as the OP mentioned they were interested in NR rather than tube, so thought I'd address that first, though I take your point that it would be one of the highest frequencies with the Central line as well. Have edited for clarity.
Clapham Junction to Waterloo has 37 trains departing 0700-0759, so technically beats off-peak then. This drops to 33 in the 0800-0859 slot though, which is the same as Stratford to Liverpool Street. This should be slightly higher once full Crossrail operation starts, but that is subject to...

EDIT: As for seating, I'm yet...
Does anyone know why they aren't running through the core or adding more St Albans terminators? As an outsider I would expect the Sutton services to be able to continue through the core and reverse at St Albans (thus adding at least another 2ph). I guess it's a bit trickier if they don't want to...
Here's a thought - could the TOC use this loading data to say how busy each carriage normally is on each service? This would be especially useful for the many stations that show almost all trains as red in the peaks (on the "train loadings" section on the TL website). Apologies if this was...
