As long as it's time limited, and removed at the earliest safe opportunity and coincides with admittance that 2m distancing is completley unworkable on public transport, it seems a sensible comprimise. Although I do have the impression that this simply another attempt to placate the doom-mongers...
Switzerland today but forward plans to reopen the country earlier than expected saying that opening Bars & Restaurants a month earlier than planned "is a good way to learn to live with the virus". Primary Schools have reopened "very rare for children to transmit the virus"...
From the way the advice has been worded I think this is an attempt simply to placate the "if I go outside I'll die brigade" who for some reason couldn't wear a mask/covering until the government told them. the new advice for workplaces doesn't advise face coverings unless you would need one...
For what I've read about the plans in Austria, they appear to suggest waiting staff must wear masks, but don't suggest what customers would be expected to do. Surely if only the staff wear them, there will be little effect, as the unmasked customers would outnumber them.
Indeed they have, would like to know how people are going to drink their drink or eat their dinner in the bars and restaurants of Austria if they reopen on May 15th as the government there has indicated.
