Just a random question here! How come high speed drivers get paid more then your average train driver? Is it danger money!

I’ve not long ago gone through that tests! It’s very easy. You get practice test at the beginning. Also the first beep you hear will always be the low tone, this is pointed out to you by the assessment person on the day!

I failed on the dots test, done like 7 lines but wasn’t fast enough! And also failed on a directory search test thing. Was really easy but the test wasn’t explained very well and there was a practice so basically went into it blind not knowing what to do! Annoying how easy I found these first...

So I failed an assessment the other day! Is it true you only get two life’s (attempts) at becoming a train driver?

Everyone who was in the assessment day yesterday applied to Hastings so maybe they’re doing area by area!

Well sad news peeps … failed! Done the (dots test) then the (listing to beeps) then done a (phone directory) last 45 seconds (memory test GLOP) then (dials) memory test! Failed on the dots test got down to 7/8 lines and that wasn’t quick enough, but didn’t miss any! So speed really is key...

Will do! Currently going from “I’ve got no chance” to “ok I’ve got this”

The big day tomorrow for me peeps! Going tonbridge! Full on 9 till 4 of tests … well that’s if I get though each part. I’ll relay an info I get after I’ve finished. I’m praying for a good run, done plenty of tests. Got my head round them, they seem really simple once you know what your doing...
