Advice on west midland railway fine

Good chance they’ll be able to track you down. For your peace of mind stop what you’re doing and buy correct tickets in future. I’d pay the penalty fare before it gets expensive.

    Ticketless travel on DLR

Thank you for that. Sadly the passenger did not even present a card to be scanned, just said “I don’t have a ticket”. Suspect he’s doing this regularly :-(

    Ticketless travel on DLR

Was on the DLR recently travelling from Westferry. The train guard (unsure if this is the correct terminology - sorry), after the train had cleared a station proceeded to do a ticket inspection. One gent just said to him, “I don‘t have a ticket” and had no comeback and the guard moved onto the...

    Immediate help required please

Relax. They don’t really want to prosecute you. But you do need to pay back the fares you avoided. Start saving!!

    SJPN advice

@asc77123 why would they care? If you’re training to be a lawyer you should have attention to detail. I wouldn’t mention it.

    Wrong railcard used for months

Hello and welcome to the forum. Other members will be along soon to advise further but you can expect West Midlands to investigate your ticket buying history. They will most likely ask you to pay the full fare for every journey you made with the wrong railcard. The 16-17 railcard provides a...

    Misuse of student oystercard

Sorry to be blunt but TFL will prosecute you and you will be convicted. They want to demonstrate to you and other people that this kind of Oyster card misuse is unacceptable.

    Freedom Pass misuse

You might want to check your contract of employment. Mine says that I have to declare any convictions to HR within 7 days of the conviction

    ‘Mandatory Reservations’ and delays

Hello, I had a slightly strange situation on Friday 5th December at Leeds station. I was booked on on the 0733 from London Kings Cross on an advance- end destination Huddersfield. My ‘Mandatory Reservation‘ from Leeds to Huddersfield was the 1000 which was delayed by 20 minutes so I boarded...

A New Series of "Fare Dodgers At War With the Law..."

Taken. But did you see how many passengers simply ignored them when challenged and pushed through the gates?

A New Series of "Fare Dodgers At War With the Law..."

I’ve learned a lot about fare evasion from this series. Pushing through the barriers, using a dead bank card to either reach around or use an exit gate to get out. RPI’s have no power of detention and there are rarely police backing them up. I‘m not sure the series is having it’s desired outcome!

Thameslink witness statement receipt Brighton to Gatwick - no railcard but I have a smart card key

I think given ”Previous Incidents: Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve done this, and I’m really ashamed of that” You need to audit your journey history to understand how many times you have done this. Because they will.
