Can anyone who's on training confirm what the salary is whilst doing the 3 months training? Is it somewhere around 30k or is it 75% of full time salary so around 39k?

Hey guys I got the call today. I done my AC2 last week Tuesday and within 4 working days they've offered me the job! Buzzing! Hopefully for those waiting it's good news.

For the Network Rail advanced apprenticeship scheme the age group is at least 18 and has no upper limit. It is a good scheme and opens up the options to have a technicians role at the end of it. This is a 3 year course.

I don't know too much about pension schemes but a lot of my managers/colleagues are on the BRASS pension scheme. They mentioned it the other day and told me to join when I'm eligible for it. I would recommend looking into this as it gives you a relieve on income tax and other benefits.

You could look to apply for part time roles within railway companies however this comes down to vacancies.
