Happened to me at Dyce a few years ago when I'd just got off a flight with a big bag. The train was already in the platform but they waited for me to drag my case up and down the footbridge steps which was lovely!
I know this is a subjective question, but I'm heading to Norfolk next week and will probably only get to go on one of the heritage lines there. So which one should it be!? I think I like the look of the Mid-Norfolk slightly more but will be staying much closer to the North Norfolk and could...
I'm going from Brussels to Luxembourg tomorrow with the family but thinking of breaking the journey in Namur. Is this allowed on a standard single ticket does anyone know?
Fair point, I've probably misinterpreted the purpose of the survey. It's still a concern though if 40% think they wouldn't be caught so the temptation is there. And the 18% who think using a mobile doesn't affect performance are simply ignorant - we demonstrably know that using a mobile is a...
My suggestion was very basic and not clearly thought-through, but still a disappointing but predictable response about 'being treated like children'. Instead of bristling at the idea of handing in your phone, go and talk to those colleagues of yours who think that it's okay to break these rules...
Hello, and welcome to the forum.
First things first - please try not to panic, what's done is done and it's out of your hands until you receive the letter. When the letter arrives come back to the forum and upload a redacted version of the letter so our experts can see exactly what happened...
At the school my children attend they have just introduced a signal-blocking pouch that all kids have to place their phone in at the beginning of the school day. They can only unlock it at a station on their way out at the end day. Why could something like this not be introduced? Pouches cost...
Not 100% following this. How are they getting to Victoria? There'd still be conflicting moves at Herne Hill unless you sent them via Streatham North Junction. But who in their right mind would board a Victoria via Balham service at Wimbledon/Haydon's Road/Tooting when there are far more...
Mitcham Junction is an interesting one - there's not a lot around there. However, latest data says 408K entries and exits, but also lists interchanges as '0' so clearly doesn't take into account that most of the entries and exits are likely to be passengers changing from Tramlink to the rail...
Okay thanks - I will try them.

Just realised I should actually be claiming from GWR as it was their 18.47 from Redhill to Gatwick being cancelled that caused the big problem.
Hi all,
I was travelling with my family from Purley to Gatwick Airport for a flight on Monday evening 25.05. Our initial train from Purley to East Croydon was cancelled so we opted to change at Redhill instead, but no sooner had we got there we discovered that our change train had also been...
Where does it say that? The OP says they showed 'a card with my name'. I can't see anywhere where they've expressly said 'I showed my own Oyster card'?
