Sorry, can I just check, this post is a wind-up isn't it?
If not being able to find 1st class- thereby causing the risk of you having to mingle with the 'common folk'- is really such a big deal to you, you must have little else to worry about in life. Surely someone 'at their wits end' is...
Heard a rumour that the derailment was caused by one of the buffers on the 4th wagon falling off, and nothing to do with the track at all- a buffer was certainly missing of the now famous '4th truck' when I saw it yesterday parked at Shrewsbury (on the middle round as Michael says).
Unlucky...
I think the 08.07 ex-Holyhead and the 18.19 ex-Cardiff Central might be the LHCS, given that both are showing as running via Crewe on National Rail Enquiries.
EDIT- Or what he said! :)
Terminate at Telford, from Euston, via Chester? Really?
Surely Euston, Chester, round through Shrewsbury to Wolves and back down to Euston again in a loop would make more sense?
Detach a Voyager at Chester for Holyhead, pick one up at Wolves for the return and vice versa.
Just an idea :)

The lad should have explained his situation calmly to the guard (if what he now claims is true) and accept he should have checked what he was sold before moving from the ticket window. The fact he has been caught bragging on Fb does...

Some time in mid-2003, I used a Swansea-Crewe via the Heart of Wales service, having started my journey from Milford Haven. The 153 made it as far as Shrewsbury fine before it was joined by a Manchester-bound 158. Together they ran in convoy to Crewe... via Wolverhampton! Good old engineering works!
It's a truly horrible structure- no doubt designed by somebody who never has to see or use it! A crying shame when the old Great Western building, that once was the entrance to the station, now stands empty and unused.
The Bishops Castle branch from Craven Arms (funny how so much of this topic has been looking at the south Shropshire area!) but with the never fulfilled extension to Montgomery.
And to go with the 'possible extensions of existing lines' idea- extend the Llangollen Railway not just to Corwen...
"This train is being delayed by the train in front of it. The train in front is being delayed by... er, something else."
Least it got a smile from a few people!
Last I saw of her was getting off at Caersws to set off back to Shrewsbury. I would assume up to Crewe and see what happened from there, whether it be VT or sleeper.
Off the top of my head I think there are 5 stations on the Cambrian beginning with an 'L' (any experts here feel free to prove...
