Like a few others here, I found out that I passed my SJT (delighted because I thought I'd failed) but HR did say it is going to take months for them to get through all the applicants. They're really good on the chat feature. Patience is a ....
Just another Q about diagrams following on from the comments above about swapping shifts. Is it really possible to do all lates if someone takes your earlies? That would suit me to a tee because of family reasons.
However, after my SJT performance today, that might be an academic Q. Good luck...
Completed the SJT today. A bit trickier than I thought. I also noticed that when you pressed the arrow key for the next question, sometimes a little red box would appear for a split second. I'm guessing this means you didn't select the correct answer.
It didn't always appears. If that's the...
Congratulations Greene4181. Lucky you. When do you start?
Sat first rounds of assessments on Monday and was told to expect results between 7 - 10 days later.
What was the order of tests at Watford? And did you have a choice of start times? Also, is the test with the different coloured buttons...
Congratulations. Persistence is an underrated attribute. I've been trying for several months and I sometimes get down. But this has given me hope. Please keep posting with more advice and help for us remaining wannabes.
How 2 become is useful and so is TraineeTrainDriverInfo. Just google them. The practice materials they send you won't be enough in my opinion.
I think anyone would struggle to pass Group Bourdon at enhanced level without practising it first.
Best of luck Dennymc, I'm sure you'll find a great job soon.
But I still don't know what the difference is between standard and enhanced on the bourdon tests. Is it the number of mistakes or the number of lines you do?
Thank you Saffa. Crikey, is it the OPC one with the track on the left and the changing shapes on the right (that is a killer). I think it's easier to join Nasa as an astronaut than get a job as a train driver in the UK.
Hi,
Someone mentioned VSE at the assessment centre. There's no mention of this in the material they sent me. I'm told stage 1 is Bourdon, SJT, DFFT and TeaOcc.
Could anyone shed some light on this please? Thank you.
