The brakes got very hot on the first trip from Minehead the other week, there was a photo on one of the Facebook groups of a fire extinguisher being used in the coach park at Lynmouth.
The issue is that the new buses are all single deckers anyway. New electric deckers are supposedly on the way, but the existing fleet is so tired that it will take some major investment or some transferred diesel deckers to have enough for all rural routes.

I remember watching the original when I was about 6 or 7, and it's recently been revived - I suspect that a number of people around my age will be taking a look for nostalgia purposes even if they don't have kids of their own!

The Exeter shop always seemed busy, but is now closed. I did have the suspicion that lots of the footfall was just browsers though. They are focusing more on big retail units now and it will be interesting to see if this strategy works out for them.
Indeed. We were travelling on a Sunday evening, when hotel prices are usually at their lowest, so I expect we could've got somewhere rather nice for €80 each (£69.28 at today's exchange rate), but if it was a Friday or Saturday night it could be a real struggle, especially if you were on your own.
