Indeed. It would be far worse to be thinking 'maybe next week' for four weeks on the trot! Much better to be able to mentally prepare that we will be in it for another three weeks at least. In my house we are assuming this is going to be how it is until the end of May and as such have developed...
The three weeks is going to be the minimum time that business expects to be furloughing people. They will be able to extend that period closer to the time. It is impossible to predict further ahead at the moment so this seems sensible.
The scheme itself runs for three months backdated from 1st...
Your employer pays you the 80% of your pay in the usual way and they are the ones who claim the grant from the government. This means they won't have to (or rather shouldn't be) forcing anyone to take unpaid leave
I seem to recall the 5p was to go to charity? So is this a ruse that by not selling the 5p bags but o ly bags for life they pocket all of the charge?
As an aside Asda force a 40p carrier bag charge when using click and collect lockers and often use them excessively (bag with only one or...
I believe that was called the Saver, now 'simplified' to an 'off peak return'. The Network Awaybreak disappeared at the last fares simplification (I think?) and personally was missed
It was a great app but looks like it is no longer maintained. As you say, it is no longer on the play store and the website linked to in the help section no longer exists.
I'm guessing there has been a change recently in the national rail enquiries api which means it can no longer get the data...
Am I correct in thinking that GTR were storing the 442s 'warm' - and that this was one of the regular runs that thusly makes it warm storage (as opposed to sitting cold somewhere)
This is how it used to be before they built the bay platform 3, after which the stopping service changed from terminating at Guildford to Woking instead.
If its existence and use causes so many conflicts why did they build it? Was it simply to remove a half hourly service from the junction on...
Why do I get the feeling that they haven't actually finalised the plans and are just buying time? Is that too cynical?
Or less cynically, the interactive document is whatever mechanism they have chosen to solicit consultation feedback, which is a new component on the website. They may have...
I seem to remember in the distant past that they did used to use both sides, even with 455s (slamdoors for sure!). I think a radio was used by a dispatcher on one side to communicate with dispatcher on the 'main' side who would then use a bat
Not a train admittedly, but I've heard a message on a TFL bus that was sent out over ibus from centrecomm. At first I thought the driver's radio had been patched incorrectly on the bus or something then realised it was advice for passengers as emergency gas works had closed a major road causing...
